Here are some answers to the most common questions I receive.

What is coaching?

Coaching is a conversation that helps people to develop, improve and perform.

Through effective questions, active listening and reflecting back key themes, a coach enables and empowers another person to achieve what they want.

Unlike other development methods, such as mentoring and training, coaching isn’t about giving advice and answers. Coaching motivates people to find their own solutions and take action.

What are the benefits of coaching?

A coach provides you with the bespoke support you need to achieve your personal development goals. As well as helping you to achieve improvements in specific areas such as your career, productivity, performance and well-being, coaching can help you to develop important skills and qualities, including:

  • Improved self- and situational awareness

  • Stronger self-reliance and sense of personal responsibility

  • Enhanced self-confidence and motivation

  • Greater adaptability and effectiveness through change.

Why choose Arancia Coaching?

With over 15 years’ professional Human Resources experience, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the challenges people face in their careers. I’ve worked with individuals, leaders and teams in different sectors to develop their effectiveness and achieve the results they want.

I recognise that some people have busy, stressful lives. Whether they’re working, searching for their next role or supporting friends and family, it can be difficult to devote time to personal development.

With this in mind, I offer an engaging and pragmatic coaching experience. I help people to achieve their goals by enabling them to think clearly and differently about themselves and their situation, identify solutions, and take simple, impactful actions to get what they want.

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

Coaching is one of a range of development methods that can help you to achieve your goals. The coaching process is designed to help you take ownership of your situation; you need to be willing to think and act differently, generate your own solutions and be pro-active to get where you want to be. Your coach is there to facilitate your thought processes.

Before agreeing a coaching programme I hold a free coaching consultation call to discuss your development needs and how we can work together. This helps you to identify if coaching is the best method to help you achieve your goals.

Throughout the coaching relationship we review progress to ensure that you are achieving the outcomes you want from the sessions.

Where do coaching sessions take place and how long are they?

Sessions can be conducted face-to-face or virtually, using Teams or Zoom. Each session typically lasts 45-60 minutes, depending on the complexity of the client’s needs.
